2 Man Criss/Cross Results
By bnwebster54 @ 8:41 AM :: 26 Views :: 0 Comments :: Article Rating

Here are the results from today's 2 Man Criss/Cross tournament.

It was great to see a couple of newer faces out there today (Joe Visenor and John Laird) and it was a good idea by someone to let them win (jk), hopefully, that will bring them back out. By the way, you both just qualified for the year-end Tournament of Champions in December.

The handicap system never seems to be fair or at least some thought so today but after seeing the results, the net scores all seemed to be pretty much in line, at least by my perception.  There was a couple of exceptional rounds out there today and maybe one or two forgettable ones. Again, I don't make this stuff up I Google it!

A couple of Card-Offs today, the team Clarke/Adams lost on the gross side to team Goldberg/Williams on the 1st playoff hole #6 and then lost to team Emmerling/Caprez on the net side on the 3rd playoff hole #14.  Remember, gross card-offs start on the hardest hole and the net on the easiest. (That one I did make up but a long time ago)

I've also attached the individual team scores and the sign-up sheet for next Sunday's tournament @ Dad Miller.  Sign up early or you may be left out.  We have booked for 28 players but we will have to cancel a few times early next week if we don't get any additional players.

I'm re-attaching the revised schedule for the rest of the year.  If you want to let me know early for next month's events I will use that to populate the sign-ups sheets and send them out later this week

A couple of ties today required card offs to determine winners today.  Ed Flores and Clinton Cox both shoot 73's in the A Flight but Ed wins the card off on the first playoff hole, the #1 handicap 4th hole.  Then Clinton's Net 64 ties my Net 64 and he beats me in a card off but it took 5 holes to do it.

Conrad Caprez wins low gross in the B Flight but Pat O'Brien and Art Cruz tie for 1st Net with 71's and Pat wins his card off on the second playoff hole, #17 handicap 9th hole.

Yes, Gross card off's start on the #1 handicap hole and go forward, Net card off's start on the #18 handicap hole and works backward.

Tom Watson and Jim Boswell win in the C Flight with outright wins so no playoff's there, boring!
